Good day all. Please does that fact that a journal is indexed in PubMed imply the journal is not predatory?

Could you please help in ascertaining if the following journal is /is not predatory:

EC Pulmonology and Respiratory Medicine

EC Journal of Pulmonology & Respiratory Medicine

Peter Odion Ubuane, MBChB, FWACPaed

Hi Peter,

Sorry for the delay in responding.

This journal is not indexed in Pubmed. I checked another journal by this publisher which claims to be indexed in Pubmed. Their claim is not true:

Please see the line "Collection Status: Not in the NLM Collection". This has not been accepted in their database - it is listed as a source for citation purposes, but has not passed their inclusion quality criteria.

For more information on what this means, please see this page:

Therefore, I would not trust this journal or publisher. They also claim to be based in the UK, but their address is a mailbox forwarding address onlyt ( 19-21 Crawford Street  London W1H 1PJ)

Best wishes

Hello Andy and everyone,

Please based on what I learnt on predatory journals, this journal "Edorium Journal of Dentistry" appear okay. But when I probed further on I saw that the publisher "Edorium Journals" was labelled as "questionable".

The journal has a special issue on "Clefts" and I submitted a case report. It was reviewed and has now been accepted. I am to pay $40 as APC because I am from a Low-Middle income country.

Please, can you also check it out for me, because I won't be happy to still fall prey after all the warnings I have been taught by INASP.

Thank you.
