For years, only the states and the intergovernmental organizations have been leading the world development agendas by leaving the private sector behind. Now, we have seen that no matter what the states and the intergovernmental organiations do, there are still hunger, economic development set backs, and other social, economical and political issues emerging from the world. So wouldn't it be okay to also create international networks where the private sector (mainly the universities, reseach centers and businesses) maintream their social and economical goals with those recognized by the United nations through the states. For instance, for years, the UN and the members states have been pushing activities at the ground level so to reduce the usage of the green house gas and nothing has reduced rathers the consumption of the green house gas rises from time to time and so the global warming is becoming more dangerious to the human life.
I believe that it is not the call for only the states and the intergovernmental organizations but it is the call for all of the world population and there is a need for the lay man to participate where he/she is given chance to give opinion and support the initiatve, it is for the private sector to motivate the people to reduce and make the people to reduce the usage of the green house gas so that possible clamity is prevented from happening.
